Buttermilk Pancakes






1 egg
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 baking soda
1 tablespoon sugar
1 cup buttermilk or milk
2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Beat egg. Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and sugar. Add to egg. Add buttermilk and oil, beat until mixture is smooth. For each pancake, pour about 1/4 cup batter on a hot, lighly greased pan. Makes abour 8 pancakes.
